Shamble Man - A Poem.
.
Shamble Man
From the dark nameless Land
Shamble Man
Evil's left hand
.
Shamble Man
A bag of skin and bone
Shamble Man
A grip of stone
.
Shamble Man
Bane of the Fae
Shamble Man
You cannot run away
.
Shamble Man
Comes out only at night
Shamble Man
Dark foe of Light
.
Shamble Man
Music's taste he does lust
Shamble Man
Sate it he must
.
Shamble Man
Feasting upon magic
Shamble Man
Your end, tragic
.
Shamble Man
When you see his eyes red
Shamble Man
Soon you'll be dead
.

So The End Draws Nigh
So The End Draws nigh - A Poem.
So the end draws nigh
A final goodbye
As life starts to fade
Do not be afraid
.
Life will start anew
A fine point of view
As you are called home
Your flesh turns to loam
.
But I shall not weep
As they dig down deep
For you are better
Freed from earths fetter
.
I'll see you again
When cut is my chain
In glory we'll meet
Beneath His high seat.

You Talk Of Love - A Poem.
.
You talk of love
When all you know is lust
You talk of love
Your every word is dust
.
Yet they fall for you
As you trample on them
Yet they fall for you
Their pains fatal stem
.
You talk of giving
When all you do is take
You talk of giving
As you drown them in a lake
.
Yet they fall for you
As you trample on them
Yet they fall for you
Their pains fatal stem
.
You are a locust
Feeding on their pain
You are a locust
Bathing in their shame
.
Yet they fall for you
As you trample on them
Yet they fall for you
Their pains fatal stem
.

Hush Now My Little Child - A Poem.
.
Hush now my little child
Be not so loud and wild
Fall to sleep so gently
Don't think so intently
.
Be still now tender one
Sleep now till light of sun
Still now, don't toss and turn
Don't cause any concern
.
Stay now my wee munchkin
Doze off with a sweet grin
Let no bad thought disturb
Let your sleep be superb
.
Go to sleep now young squib
All rug'd up in your crib
As my rhyme comes to end
To dreams your thoughts should bend

When Your World Falls Apart - A Poem.
.
What do you do when your world falls apart?
Do you sit and cry, hope for a new start?
Do you get up and go, try fix your heart?
What do you do when your world falls apart?
.
Will you just roll up and die all alone?
Curled up in your pride's hard empty throne
With a choker of tears as cold as stone
Will you just roll up and die all alone?

What do you do when your world falls apart?
Do you sit and cry, hope for a new start?
Do you get up and go, try fix your heart?
What do you do when your world falls apart?

Can you stand up to fight and never give in?

Another Sleepless Night - A story (finishing off an old piece)
.
Water drips from the ceiling.
She's left the tap on again.
I get up off the futon, it's not like I'd been sleeping, just trying, and failing.
As ever.
She always seems to leave the tap on if I stay on the futon, I don't know why, but she does.
I open the door and start climbing up stairs, not bothering turning the lights on I know the way.
I open the bathroom door and, sure enough, the tap is running and the bath is overflowing.
Another sleepless night.
.
Why does he always try to sleep on the futon?
Love - A poem
.
You say you want my love
I offer you my heart
I'll take it out my chest
And offer it to you
.
Still Beating
.
You ask me for a rose
I offer you my blood
Inside my beating heart
I offer you my heart
.
Still bleeding
.
You demand chocolates
I offer you my life
Wrapped in my warm blood
I offer you my blood
.
Still pumping
.
You say you want my love
You ask me for a rose
You demand chocolates
To see my affection
.
What a joke
.
I offer you my heart
I offer you my blood
I offer you my life
Yet you are disgusted
.
What a joke
.
You don't understand love
It isn't shown with a rose
Nor bought wit

I Say Scarlet Blood, A Poem
.
I say "Scarlet Blood"
You laugh in my face
Say you are an empty space
I see that which should
You see naught but mud
.
I offer my all
But you don't see that
From the pit in which you're sat
Shout to you in scrawl
Don't stay in your pall.

The Lonely Recluse.
Why am I always second best?
Have I failed some sort of test?
You kiss me and hug me
And tell me you love me
So why am I second best?
You're dangling me by a thread
Putting dreams inside my head
I toss and turn
Because I yearn
Why do you dangle me by a thread?
My heart is bleeding and torn
You've put me through a storm
A string, no more
My heart is sore
My heart is bleeding and torn
I can't continue like this
In this agony, in this bliss
So until you choose
It seems I'll lose
I can't continue like this.
This is the place,
Where everyone fears to tread.
When worst fears come to life,
And sweet dreams die.
A slave you will remain,
For all eternity.
You are no longer safe,
From the things that you fear.
Your soul is stolen away,
Where it will forever be kept.
You thought you could get away,
But there is no where to go,
You are doomed here forever.
This is the price you pay,
For the evil you have done.
This is the place,
Where your nightmares come to life.
I have feelings too.
Your words break me,
They cut through my spirit,
Like a hot knife through butter.
They crush my self worth,
And bruise my being,
To a crumpled mess.
This smile you see,
It just to cover up,
The true pain I'm feeling.
You don't live my life,
So you are not aware,
Of the hell that I have to deal with.
I have feelings,
And they can be hurt,
Just as easily as yours.
Let's make you the awkward kid,
Who's constantly being ridiculed,
For everything they are.
Let's see how you like it.
All I want from people,
To hear the truth,
The first time around.
I'm sick of the lies,
So tell the truth,
And pray that I believe you.
Lying doesn't get you anywhere,
It gets you nothing,
But a bunch of trouble.
I just want to know,
That I'm not being lied to,
By everyone I look at.
Honesty is the best policy,
As people would say,
What happened to that phrase?
Not being able to lie,
Is not a bad quality,
But rather a good one.
So please do that,
Just tell me the truth,
Use the best policy.
Your voice.
That is your perfect weapon.
Use it loud.
Use it proud.
When they use their hatred,
Use your voice.
When they use their bitter words,
Use yours right back.
Your voice is the key.
It is your perfect weapon.
Why does the muse seem to flitter in and out of lives, one minute theres so many poems in my head, and ever a few bits of prose, the next there's nothing? Why is inspiration so fickle? Why am I even writing this out as a journal entry? Any one want to give me a suggestion about how to get inspiration. I'll even do some (free) requests if you want me to, though I won't promise anything absolutely amazing.
Hi all, just an apology about not commenting on anyones writing of late. I've just moved to Uni and its all a bit crazy at the moment. I would have apologised earlier but I've only recently got my net sorted out (can you believe I need an ethernet cable to use the web in my room). I'll get back to my normal self as soon as the insanity has died down, thanks for understanding.

Anyone feel like recommending a decent poetry/literature group for me to join/get me invited to? It would be highly appreciated. By the way you're all legends.
